Live life positive and focus on the future, but please honor history. The only proper way to know where things are going is to understand where it’s been. Despite the things people say, no one can deny what Puff Daddy built with Bad Boy Records, “no one could touch Puff back when Puff had it,” as Jay-Z said.
Before there was ever a question of New York City losing its grip on the rap game, a plethora of artists were signed to Bad Boy. Among the artists on the 1990s Bad Boy roster included both Mase and The L.O.X. Back when they took over the game, a lot of people who run the game now were watching, including Vado.
Maybe Vado was going through some old magazines he had, but he ended up running across an old copy of The Source with Mase and The L.O.X. on the cover. This went way beyond nostalgia. Vado took to Instagram with the cover and he gave them major props, as the reason he began rapping in the first place.
