Five years ago, B.o.B. made moves towards mainstream success and soon found himself working alongside T.I. at Grand Hustle. While T.I. was in prison, B.o.B. held things down at Grand Hustle Records, topping the charts three consecutive times. The pop success was something new for the label and it made B.o.B. a mainstream star.
Late in 2011, B.o.B. announced he was working on his second album. By 2012, B.o.B. named the album Strange Clouds, after his single of the same name. His career, since that moment, has gone through many changes, as he went more in the rock direction and his label home, Grand Hustle, went through tons of changes.
B.o.B. made his return to Hot 97 and he talked to Ebro and Peter Rosenberg, as Laura Stylez was not present. In the interview, B.o.B. talked about his mainstream success after his 2009 mixtape run. He discussed the No Genre label, the “Not For Long” single with Trey Songz, Iggy Azalea, and his upcoming music.
