Here is just a little insight on the impression Miami hip hop has had on the game over the past ten years, Rick Ross is the second artist in a decade to release two albums in one year. The last artist was Plies, a fellow Miami native and Rick Ross’ former label-mate. Now, the feat is being accomplished again.
Rick Ross went through a lot of delays with Mastermind, which he announced in January of 2013. Eventually, he released the album in March of 2014, but that wasn’t enough time for him to get the year going right. After sitting out the summer, Rick Ross came back in the early fall to announce Hood Billionaire.
Now, Rick Ross has officially released his seventh studio album and he is urging fans to go out and buy. Hood Billionaire features appearances from Project Pat, K. Michelle, Jay-Z, and more. In an effort to generate more interest, Rick Ross released a promo video for the album on his Instagram.
