Several changes have taken place that have changed the course of hip hop over the past couple of years. Last year, Mister Cee announced, on air, that he was resigning from Hot 97 in the midst of his personal drama. During this time, Mister Cee received all types of criticism from his rivals at Power 105.1, mainly Charlamagne Tha God.
While Mister Cee was ultimately talked into staying with Hot 97, but it doesn’t change the fact that the business has changed. During the summer, Angie Martinez left Hot 97 and eventually joined Power 105.1, receiving all the perks from the parent company. So, perhaps this has motivated others to move on.
Funkmaster Flex took to his Instagram, only a couple of hours ago, to announce Mister Cee would soon announce his resignation. Coming to terms with his addiction, Mister Cee has been accepted by fans and critics. But, a year and a half after his initial move, Mister Cee has decided to move on from Hot 97.
