The 2013-2014 period has belonged to YG and it’s been a long time coming. He’s been doing his thing with DJ Mustard in Los Angeles for years. Back in 2010, YG first broke through with “Toot It & Boot It,” featuring Ty Dolla $ign, although both were relatively unknown at the time.
Years later, both have come back focused and they made sure their presence was felt during the year of 2014. For YG, he released My Krazy Life and it spawned two massive singles, first “My Hitta,” with Rich Homie Quan and Young Jeezy, followed by “Who Do You Love?,” featuring Drake. He later appeared on Jeremih’s “Don’t Tell ‘Em.”
YG is making his media rounds in promotion of Blame It On The Streets, his short film/album. The Los Angeles emcee recently stopped by Shade 45 to catch up with Sway and the “Sway In The Morning” gang. He ended up dishing out relationship advice, before explaining Blame It On The Streets.
