Legal troubles have hindered Gunplay from going ahead and making his debut in the industry, officially. The Miami rapper is an original Maybach Music artist and a fan favorite. His buzz reached its peak during the 2012-2013 period, but legal issues ultimately held Gunplay back.
Back in 2012, Gunplay talked to Hip Hop Vibe about his success and the expanded success of his label, Maybach Music. It was expected of Gunplay to unleash his solo project, but legal issues and creative changes held him back. Now, Gunplay is preparing the release of his album, Living Legend, for 2015.
While his label boss, Rick Ross, has a good relationship with Timbaland, the same apparently does not extend to Gunplay. This afternoon, Gunplay took his previously-unknown beef with Timbaland to Twitter. He did a “hoe nigga check in” and he tweeted it to Timbaland, calling him a “fuck boy.”
