Recently, DJ Drama has been on the comeback and he has been welcomed back with open arms. Currently, DJ Drama is pushing his new single, “Right Back,” featuring Jeezy, Rich Homie Quan, and Young Thug. This is the first single off Quality Street Music 2, his first album since 2012’s Quality Street Music.
Last night, DJ Drama was present for the 2014 Global Spin Awards here in New York City and he had a big night. Although DJ Drama represents a very current era in hip hop, he was still excited to run into Rakim and the feeling was mutual. But, the big moments within the realm of the awards came with DJ Drama’s wins.
DJ Drama definitely won big at the Global Spin Awards, taking home three awards at the show. He was nominated for DJ of the Year, DJ Entrepreneur, and Regional Mixshow DJ of the Year in the South. It was a good night for DJ Drama, as he won all three of those awards.
