R&B’s biggest breakout artist over the past year is August Alsina, at least in the male category. Currently, August Alsina is all over the radio with his hook on Kirko Bangz’ single, “Rich,” and his “No Love” single with Nicki Minaj. All of this is taking place while he is on the road.
August Alsina has done plenty of traveling, but his New York City swing was tragic. In the middle of his performance, August Alsina passed out and he was soon hospitalized. When he went to the hospital, August Alsina was placed in a medically-induced coma and he stayed there for three days.
Charlamagne Tha God, Angela Yee, and DJ Envy welcomed August Alsina back to Power 105.1 for “The Breakfast Club.” This time around, August Alsina came and he went in-depth about his coma and seeing his brother. He also talked about the success of “No Love” and his groupie experiences.
