Until proven otherwise, Lil Wayne remains the top figure in the rap game. His career has gone through many changes since his debut with the Hot Boyz in 1997, but those close to him knew what he was capable of. Fans learned, post 2008, that Lil Wayne was more than capable of being that “album a year” rapper, but they have to wait for Tha Carters.
Lil Wayne has released six albums since 2008, only missing 2012 when it came to releasing a new album. While Lil Wayne has more albums in the works, he plans to end his career with Tha Carter V, due today, supposedly. But, in typical Carter fashion, Lil Wayne ended up pushing the album back several times.
Last night, Drumma Boy took to his Twitter and he revealed Lil Wayne still planned on releasing Tha Carter V today. Previously, Lil Wayne’s people said he decided to push the album back. But, as of last night, Drumma Boy said the album is coming today, so the wait begins.
