The 2011-2012 period was a special era for Atlanta hip hop and Future is one of the main reasons why. Building his buzz on the mixtape level, Future had a mainstream breakthough, which led to Drake collaborating with him. Few artists had the luck Future had of established artists jumping on consecutive tracks from him.

Earlier this year, Future released Honest, his sophomore album and it included the major hit single, “Move That Dope.” The song featured Pusha T and Pharrell and it was one of the first hits of the summer. Always working, Future decided to go right back in and put another project together.

Future announced Monster a few weeks ago and he has done all kinds of promotion for it online. The promotion has come, but there has not been much said about when the promotion ends and the project begins. All of this changes when Future announced the release date of Monster, on October 28 via Instagram, Halloween.
