DJ Khaled says Rick Ross’ “Hood Billionaire” is “made for the streets”

Miami hip hop was introduced when Uncle Luke and the 2 Live Crew first found mainstream success. Their success opened the lane for Trick Daddy and Miami always played a role in the hip hop world. But, Miami was often in the background in favor of such places as New York City, Los Angeles, Atlanta, Houston, and Oakland.

DJ Khaled managed to change all of this, when he began linking Southern artists for his singles. Though already established, Rick Ross began working more with his good friend and found true success. Seven years later, they have made Miami, arguably, one of the hottest hip hop cities on the map.

Recently, DJ Khaled was in a session listening to Hood Billionaire, Rick Ross’ seventh studio album. Of course, DJ Khaled would never say anything bad about Rick Ross, or his music, but he seems to really love this album. He said Hood Billionaire is one of those type of albums that’s made for the streets via Instagram.
