DJ Smallz says Jagged Edge is keeping real R&B alive with new album

Most associate Jagged Edge to the late 1990s and the early 2000s. Without question, the group came up with Jermaine Dupri and helped So So Def stay on top of the game. But, the group also had some hits later in the 2000s and they are confident they can do it again in 2014.

Jagged Edge was always a very soulful group and their music had a message behind it. It was not until recently that new music came with an actual message. With the game shifting back to substance, it makes sense that Jagged Edge would return, simply because they are still relatively young guys who can both compete and make a difference.

Currently on the comeback trail, Jagged Edge has at least one supporter from the new school. The past couple of years, DJ Smallz has owned the mixtape scene and works closely with Yo Gotti. Recently, he took some time off to just love music and went to the Microsoft Store to listen to Jagged Edge’s new album, JE Heartbreak II, praising it on Instagram.
