Bishop TD Jakes built an empire with his ministries. Also, he branched out into mainstream media. His Think Like A Man movie, based on the Steve Harvey book of the same name, saw TD Jakes being compared to Tyler Perry in terms of entertainment. While TD Jakes embraced the mainstream, there are certain things he doesn’t stand for.
A couple of weeks ago, Jeezy released the remix of his “Holy Ghost” single. It also included the addition of Kendrick Lamar. Before hearing Kendrick Lamar, however, listeners hear an excerpt of one of TD Jakes’ sermons. Now, this has been heard by TD Jakes and he is taking aim.
Earlier this afternoon, TD Jakes decided to address Jeezy and the “Holy Ghost” remix. He is disappointed and he let it be known in the status he left on Facebook. TD Jakes announced he has plans of suing Jeezy for using his vocals without his or his company’s consent, despite the song being released as a free download.
