In 2011, Birdman spoke of his goals for Cash Money Records and how big he wants the label to be. He said he wanted his label to be big enough to drop anywhere from fifty to one hundred albums in one year. Big goals, but Birdman was prepared to live up to it and was confident Maybach Music would do a joint venture with his label.
Had Rick Ross brought Maybach Music to Cash Money Records, there would have been more than a handful of releases, especially with Young Money also under the roster. But, this deal never took place, however DJ Khaled did bring his label over. These additions left such signees as Busta Rhymes and Mystikal feeling a little left out.
Paris Hilton, however, has fit right in with the label and has made several appearances with both Birdman and Lil Wayne. It’s been a year since Paris Hilton signed with Cash Money and she has a new music video in the works. Birdman took to his Instagram this morning, sharing a behind the scenes photo from Paris Hilton’s upcoming visual.
