When Drake first made the transition from mixtape star to mainstream star, he gained credit for being a good rapper and singer. Popularized by Ja Rule in the early 2000s, many rappers began singing over their own raps. However, Drake was the first rapper to actually attempt to really sing when he sang on his songs.
Drake first showed the world his R&B talents on his “Find Your Love” single, which was released in 2010 on Thank Me Later. A year later, Drake teamed up with Rihanna with his title track, “Take Care,” which was another R&B hit. Then, just last year, Drake delivered his “Hold On, We’re Going Home” single, which became his latest hit.
According to MediaTakeout.com, Drake received assistance from a woman when he decided to create those records. Early on, she was receiving proper compensation for her work, but all of that soon changed. Now, she has hired Gloria Allred’s law firm and she’s planning a multimillion dollar lawsuit against Drake.
