It seems a bit odd that the dog days of summer are here and Meek Mill is nowhere to be found. Maybach Music made a vow to own every summer. Meek Mill has always played a central role. But, Maybach Music has not had the impact on the summer since their 2011-2012 run.
Recent years have seen the Maybach Music fam turn to their other close connections with their music. Last year, Wale released his album and he promoted alongside his management, Jay-Z and Roc Nation. But, this summer, Meek Mill was there alongside his MMG team, until he wasn’t.
First, there was the set trip Meek Mill pulled on Wale. After that, he was sentenced to prison over a probation violation. Most of the industry co-signed Meek Mill and they have pushed for his release. It was said Meek Mill would be out on parole early, but he was denied this and will be released on October 11.
