No, this story isn’t hip hop, but any kid who grew up in the 1990s and the 2000s watched some Robin Williams movies. Starting as a stand-up comedian, Williams rose to stardom when he starred in the “Mork & Mindy” sitcom as an alien. His career soon had him in bigger roles.
Outside of his live movie roles, Robin Williams became a popular voice actor, providing the voice in Aladdin. In 2001, Robin Williams also played in the highly popular film, Osmosis Jones. Later, Robin Williams also did more serious roles, such as Insomnia with Al Pacino.
Robin Williams is now the subject of headlines as he died this afternoon. Reports are saying Robin Williams died of an apparent suicide today. Regardless, rest in peace to the icon and Hip Hop Vibe sends out condolences to Robin Williams and his loved ones during their time of need.
