Hustling and grinding were given different meanings when Dame Dash first gained entry into the industry. His struggles have been well-documented over the past couple of years, but this is the man who helped Jay-Z build his empire. Although forgotten, he also helped Kevin Hart gain his first looks.
Dame Dash has a knack for making things cool and, even as he is now in his mid-forties, continues to be a cool dude. With this, Dame Dash hopes to bring a cool factor back to the hip hop industry. Many can agree that the new generation of urban music lacks a certain coolness brought about during the 1993-2005 period.
Complex recently had a sitdown with Dame Dash and he talked about some of the things he was involved in. The current success of Kevin Hart is nothing short of amazing and Dame Dash helped get him started. He spoke on his role with Kevin Hart, back in the day, Lee Daniels, and much more.
