Emerging in 2006, Ne-Yo established himself as a force in the R&B game. Once dominated by R. Kelly and Usher, Ne-Yo became a viable alternative. From the 2006 through 2010 period, Ne-Yo was one of the biggest forces in R&B, fitting in very well in the Jay-Z-helmed Def Jam system.
Since 2010, however, Ne-Yo has focused more of his attention on being an executive for Motown Records. Under his leadership, Ne-Yo has brought new life to the label and he has more big plans in the works. There is also plans for Ne-Yo to release a new album.
Ne-Yo recently paid a visit to Hot 97 and he talked to Ebro, Peter Rosenberg, and also Laura Stylez. In the interview, Ne-Yo talked about his new girlfriend, after going through a lot in his romantic life. They also talked about Ne-Yo’s executive role, leading Motown Records.
