Techinically not a new artist, YG is one of the most-explosive artists in the game. He experienced a big hit in 2013, when his “My Hitta” track with Rich Homie Quan and Jeezy blew up. The song lived several lives and didn’t go away before YG got a huge remix lined up with Lil Wayne, Meek Mill, and Nicki Minaj.
YG got a major co-sign from Meek Mill early on and it helped him to become the star he currently is. Months removed from the release of his debut album, YG is touring the world and he has a lot of things going on. Right now, Meek Mill should be handling his business, but his jail time is holding him back.
Gillie Da Kid told Hip Hop Vibe he thinks the Meek Mill situation is complete crap and that he should be free. Most rappers feel this way and YG joined the #FREEMEEKMILL movement in a big way. The crowd in Spain showed their support with a “Free Meek Mill” sign that YG put on his Instagram.
