DJ Quik declares war with Dr. Dre after seeing none of his music on the Beats app

DJ Quik 2At one time or another, Dr. Dre has ended up being dissed by the people around him for various reasons. When Ice Cube left NWA, he ended up going at Dr. Dre for still being in the group. Fences were mended when Dr. Dre also left, but he made an enemy out of Eazy-E, making up with him right before his death.

Since then, Dr. Dre made enemies with several former Aftermath artists who grew tired of waiting on him to drop their albums. Also, many other former associates have grown tired of him. Back when Dr. Dre left Death Row Records, Tupac targeted him for turning his back.

Eighteen years later, DJ Quik has followed suit against Dr. Dre. With the Beats/Apple deal bringing Dr. Dre dangerously close to $1 billion, DJ Quik congratulated him and expected to hear his music on the app. When he didn’t, DJ Quik took to Twitter to blast Dr. Dre, saying “it’s on.”
