Joell Ortiz talks “Total Slaughter,” solo career, and his past with “Sway In The Morning” [VIDEO]

Joell Ortiz SwayBack in 2008, Joell Ortiz, Joe Budden, Crooked I, and Royce Da 5’9 were four of the most-discussed independent rappers in the game. At one point or another, all of them had highly-anticipated albums. Stuck with revolving release dates, they took to mixtapes to put their music out and later joined forces.

Originally a rumor, the four rappers came together as Slaughterhouse and they eventually signed to Shady Records. Since the group released welcome to: OUR House, the members have gone back to their solo career. Joell Ortiz also has some heat coming up.

Earlier this week, Joell Ortiz stopped by Shade 45 to hang out with Sway for “Sway In The Morning.” He spoke on the upcoming “Total Slaughter” program, his solo career, and his past as a nerd-turned-drug dealer. This was a very interesting interview between these two.
