Last fall, Mack Wilds released New York: A Love Story, his debut album. The album featured the massive hit “Own It” and it did wonders in winning over the masses with a very authentic album. At a time when New York’s sound was being heavily criticized, Mack Wilds took it back to the golden era.
Back when he was doing his promotional rounds for the album, Mack Wilds did an interview with Hip Hop Vibe about his music. Since then, Mack Wilds has gone on to receive a Grammy nomination for the album. The fun fact about the album is that it was recorded in less than a month.
Mack Wilds was recently in Atlanta and he stopped by Hot 107.9, where he spoke to the homie, Beestroh. They discussed how quickly Mack Wilds put the album together, in comparison to other classics. He explained how the album came together and what he has going on now.
