Hip hop heads dispute about a lot of things all the time, but they all agree there is something special with TDE. Initially introduced to the team via Jay Rock in 2010, the outfit received more fame with Kendrick Lamar in 2011. This led to the other members, ScHoolboy Q and Ab-Soul, picking up more momentum.
Many have argued about who is the dopest artist out of the crew and each member will say it’s themselves. Ab-Soul has taken offense to many comments about the leader of their Black Hippy group being Kendrick Lamar. But, all is well within the group and Ab-Soul is getting his shine.
Ab-Soul is releasing his major label debut later this year and he is headlining the after party of the 2014 4Knots Music Festival. The event is taking place on July 12 at Webster Hall in New York City. Other acts will be revealed at a later date in terms of other performers.
