As one half of Outkast, Big Boi is one half of the reason Atlanta was first placed on the hip hop map. They delivered nonstop classic music, but recent years have forced them to have distance from each other. In an effort to keep music out, Big Boi established a deal with Def Jam and released two solo albums.

When Big Boi releases his third album, he will have a new deal in place. After going through tons of politics, Big Boi and Andre 3000 reunited to perform several concerts over the course of this summer. Their performances are going to lead to a new Outkast album, according to speculation.

Recently, Big Boi ended up talking to The Huffington Post and he revealed he reunited with L.A. Reid. This led to a new record deal, with Big Boi signing to Epic Records and being back in the fold with his mentor, who first signed him in 1992. Big Boi has a new solo album in the works for later this year.
