Every year, there is someone new who emerges to become a star and these stars aren’t all from the expected areas. When B2DaDot has his emergence, he will become the latest star to emerge from a place like this. A native of Delaware, he utilized the internet to make his connections.

Back when MySpace was the top place to network, B2DaDot ended up linking up with Tyga. To this day, B2DaDot and Tyga remain close and their relationship continues to build. Relocating to Miami, B2DaDot also has ties to We The Best and some other big names.

B2DaDot took some time out to speak to Hip Hop Vibe and his time is appreciated, as he gave us some valuable information. He explained the Delaware scene and what led to him moving to Miami. The interview also saw him explain Tyga being in his circle, as well as DJ Bran, Meek Mill’s DJ.

Read the entire interview below:

Your first mixtape dropped eleven years ago, what made you stick with the game for so long? I know that nothing happens over night so I had to keep working at my craft to get better and better. If I listen to some of my old stuff I’m like “WOW, I have come a long way.”

Being from Delaware, how did you build a presence in Miami and Los Angeles? I was doing shows worldwide on my “Ciroc Life Tour.” So I was hitting every city possible. But Miami became a city I was hitting more consistently and getting booked for the most shows.

What series of events led to you and Tyga working together? Me and Tyga came up together on MySpace and used to keep in touch. We just lost touch over the years and linked back up through some mutual people more recently.

You have had the chance to work with such names as J. Holiday and Red Cafe, among others, how did that come to be? When you meet some down to Earth artist in this game you are blessed sometimes to get to work with them without any money being exchanged. It’s rare, but it still happens. They recognize your work ethic and thats some of the best music. It’s pure and genuine.

Currently, there is a lot of interest surrounding your work, what is the biggest difference between this push and your previous attempts to break though? I am a lot older and a lot more mature. I have had some time in this music business. So now, I actually understand how the music business works and all the behind the scenes stuff that I never knew before.

One thing you have done is relocating to Miami, can you talk about this and how it has benefited your career? Everybody who is anybody comes through Miami, if they already don’t have a house or condo out here. My first weekend I moved here it was MMG’s First Annual MMG Weekend. So my first week here I was around Rick Ross, DJ Khaled, Meek Mill and the whole We Da Best and MMG. Shout out to my homie DJ Bran (Meek Mill’s Official DJ) he is the homie from back home in Delaware.

Will you be working with some of the prominent artists on the Miami hip hop scene? Yeah, I definitely want to work with some dope artists out here. Artists like Rico Love,  Ace Hood, and producers like Cool & Dre, Scott Storch, Reazy Renegade, and The Beat Bully.

When should fans expect you to drop your next project? I am working on my debut album Better Than Good, which I am looking to release worldwide at the end of the Summer.

In the immediate future, who are some of the people you plan to work with? Kanye West, Ludacris, Slaughterhouse, YG, Busta Rhymes, Jadakiss, and the list goes on
