It was very clever of Pharrell to create a song called “Happy” that is so infectious, because the whole world is saying it. Speak it into existence and it shall be, so why not spread happiness? Pharrell definitely has the audience to do it and in the midst of these world tragedies, Skateboard P is bringing joy.
Pharrell was shocked with how “Happy” took off and he cried when talking to Oprah about the success of the song. Not a day goes by where there isn’t someone on one of the social networking sites, be it Facebook, Instagram, or Twitter going on about this song. No one would’ve guessed the song would lead to a life ending.
A woman was posting about “Happy” on Facebook from High Point, North Carolina named Courtney Ann Sanford. She was driving down Business Interstate 85 when she got into the head on accident with a truck that ended her life. Her family pointed out her Facebook post about the “Happy” song making her “HAPPY” seconds before she died.
