Tolerance is at an all-time high and figures like Ryan Lewis and Macklemore have made sure of it. Yes, they have fallen under a lot of scrutiny, but the world is indeed a better place when people can accept each other for who they are. As Mary Lambert explained to Hip Hop Vibe, people cannot help who they are.
Ryan Lewis, alongside Macklemore, took the game by storm in 2012-2013 and they did it on their own terms. It turns out, Ryan Lewis had a personal agenda to his stardom and messages of acceptance and tolerance. His mother has suffered from the cruel HIV virus for thirty years.
Recently, “Good Morning America” did a feature on Ryan Lewis and he revealed his mother is HIV positive. After receiving a blood transfusion with infected blood, his mother’s life was forever changed at a young age. During the feature, Ryan Lewis introduced The 30/30 Project, which already has Macklemore’s support.
