Three years ago, 50 Cent bought controlling interest in H&H Imports and this has led to the formation of SMS Audio. This company has overtaken 50 Cent’s longtime promotion of G-Unit, his original company. But, with the SMS organization, 50 Cent made himself a rival of Dr. Dre with his Beats Audio.

Before 50 Cent decided he would jump into the headphone business, he had an offer from Sleek to create his own headphone line. 50 Cent was to do the Sleek by 50 line, the Street by 50 line, and the Synch by 50 line. Instead, 50 Cent took this concept and formed his own headphone line.

Their deal dissolved as quickly as it came together and Sleek filed a lawsuit against the Queens rapper. 50 Cent has referred to Sleek as incompetent when speaking of them, meanwhile Sleek has referred to 50 as a thief. Now, a Palm Beach arbitrator has gotten into this situation and 50 Cent is ordered to pay $16 million to settle the lawsuit with Sleek.
