Ever since “Rack City,” DJ Mustard has brought an entirely new sound to the rap game from the West Coast. This sound originated in Los Angeles, but it has brought hits to the table for guys like B.o.B., Chris Brown, and Trey Songz. Slowly, DJ Mustard has taken over the game.

Jay-Z has taken notice of this and he wasted no time getting DJ Mustard on his team, as any good businessman would do. Now, DJ Mustard is a part of Roc Nation, putting him on the same roster with such names as Rihanna. All of this is big for someone who was a virtual unknown only a couple of years ago.

DJ Mustard is known now and Al Lindstrom recently interviewed him. In their conversation, DJ Mustard talked about his history as a DJ and DJ-ing. He also spoke on his connections, such as his relationship with Timbaland. Like Timbaland, DJ Mustard has ushered a new sound into the game and he is moving the culture along.
