Hip hop has quietly taken over the American society and is well on its way to doing the same thing overseas. A staple in the American culture is the prom, which is a school-sponsored celebration of the final days of school
and childhood. The past few decades have shown hip hop dominate this.
One of hip hop’s most-epic battles in modern times was LL Cool J facing off against then-newcomer, Canibus. After trading disses on “4,3,2,1″ and “Second Round KO,” LL Cool J hit him with “The Ripper Strikes Back.” On this track, known as one of the more-infamous diss tracks, LL Cool J said Canibus raps at proms.
Although LL Cool J was insulting Canibus, he highlighted just how much focus hip hop receives at proms. Speaking of LL Cool J, an acronym for Ladies Love Cool James, maybe he doesn’t perform at proms, but his songs definitely have gotten their fair share of play there. But, as LL Cool J has transitioned into acting, more rappers have picked up the slack dominating proms with their music.
Sexy women are also synonymous with hip hop, as they are with every other facet of life. Such rappers as Lil’ Kim and Nicki Minaj are not only some of the toughest emcees to ever rock the mic, they can also fill out a dress
and make everyone stare. Young ladies who are going to the prom may not want to rap and they surely don’t want to be judged, purely based on looks, but they do want to look their best when it comes time to party to some of the hottest tracks out, of all genres.
Prom season is here and in the next month or so, young ladies will have the full-fledged prom fever. This will include getting the right prom dresses and there are places they can go to find the right dresses, such as

There are a lot of decisions to make, as guys like Wale will have their music playing all night, such as whether to wear sexy evening dresses or Short Prom Dresses or Long Prom Dresses. Regardless, the ladies will definitely hope they look sexy in their dress, even though their dates will probably think whatever dress they wear is a sexy dress. So many decisions to make, so little time, because the right prom hairstyle has to be chosen, as does the right prom shoes to go along with the right dress.
For people under the age of twenty, the prom season is probably the most-stressful one, as all of the anxieties of being a child exist, still, but in a permanent environment. But, all of it’s coming to an end, so most people simply want them to focus on just partying the night away with no worries. Prom season 2014 is here and there will probably be some music from guys like Chris Brown, Meek Mill, Rick Ross, and many more.
