No matter what the rap game would throw at him, Drake was always able to count on having the support of Jay-Z. This support was shown when Jay-Z featured Drake on The Blueprint 3 and when Drizzy returned the favor on “Light Up.” More recently, the two did the “Pound Cake” record the game keeps remixing.
None of this prevented Jay-Z from taking shots at Drake on the “We Made It” remix he and Jay Electronica did. Surely, Soulja Boy is loving the attention his single is getting, but Drake has been dealt another low blow. For some time, Drake has taken shots from nearly all the rappers in the game.
Ever since the track debuted, many wondered how Drake should and would handle it. In the past, Drake has opted to overlook it, hence the “diss me, you’ll never hear a reply for it” line, but enough is enough after five years. Drake put a photo on Instagram that contradicts all the Jay-Z praise, as he onlooks the Toronto skyline with the caption “My only role model.”
