Pharrell talks “G I R L” album and cover with “The Breakfast Club” [AUDIO]

Pharrell 10Nostalgic fans have received glimpses back into the old school courtesy of guys like Pharrell bringing it back. In the early 2000s, Pharrell was responsible for a bulk of the hit records coming out. Last year, Pharrell returned to this position and also produced Robin Thicke’s “Blurred Lines,” which has a 70s feel.

Now, Pharrell is preparing the release of his own solo album, which comes as a bit of a surprise. Regardless, Pharrell is releasing G I R L early next month and the game is centering around it. As he prepares the project, that has already leaked to the internet, Pharrell made his interview rounds.

Pharrell called into “The Breakfast Club” this morning and he discussed the new album. He talked about the overall sound of the album and also about the controversial cover. After going a couple of rounds in jokes with Charlamagne Tha God, Pharrell explained to him, Angela Yee, and DJ Envy about the album, the cover, and his love for black women.
