As Andre 3000 prepares to return to the game alongside Big Boi with Outkast, he is dealt another loss. Only a few months ago, Andre 3000 was dealt the heartbreaking loss of his mother, Sharon Benjamin-Hodo. Less than a year later, Andre 3000 is dealing with the death of his father, Lawerence Walker.
Yesterday, Walker was chopping wood in Atlanta, preparing himself for the latest snow the East Coast is facing. After chopping the wood, Walker returned to the inside of his life. Unfortunately, Walker would go back inside his house for the last time, as he died of a heart attack.
Due to the snowstorms in Atlanta, Mr. Walker’s house lost power, as did a lot of the other homes. But, this snowstorm has yielded a loss bigger than expected, as Andre 3000 is now without both of his parents for the first time in his life. Later this year, he is expected to perform at Coachella 2014 and also do his reunion album with Outkast.
