ScHoolboy Q talks “Oxymoron,” gang member past, Kendrick Lamar, and more with Hot 97 [VIDEO]

ScHoolboy Q Hot 97Back in 2011, Kendrick Lamar’s career took off and the spotlight was immediately placed on Top Dawg Entertainment. This period of time was good for Los Angeles hip hop, as a whole, and many additional doors opened. The spotlight back on TDE helped shed light on ScHoolboy Q.

Since 2012 was Kendrick Lamar’s year, 2013 was supposed to belong to ScHoolboy Q, but circumstances got in the way. Instead, ScHoolboy Q’s album was delayed until February 25. Now, the album is coming and ScHoolboy Q has out some new singles and the official artwork.

Doing his media rounds to promote the project, ScHoolboy Q talked to Hot 97’s duo of Peter Rosenberg and DJ Cipha Sounds. In the interview, ScHoolboy Q talked about his gang member past as a crip, admitting to being embarrassed about it. ScHoolboy Q also spoke on his Oxymoron album, Kendrick Lamar, and a lot more.
