As you deliver your new song, “Golden Grams,” how do you feel about the Southern hip hop scene? It’s kind of whack on the large scale, you got the legends that are still killing it but it’s a few new artist that will stay around but most will be gone in a few years.

Specifically, North Carolina, the area doesn’t have a sound most would associate with the South, why do you think this is? Well, it really depends on where you are, because if you go to Durham or Fayetteville, it’s real East Coast hip hop influenced, mostly. But, take Charlotte it is a lot of people who sound like ’06 Atlanta ands a lot of people who sound like East Coast hip hop too, we kind of a melting pot of styles.

What would you say influences your sound? Life is the number one thing, my ups and downs, my past and pain people are so scared to let people know they are dealing with pain or that they broke everybody rich got hoes and don’t love em its not realistic.

Being from Charlotte, North Carolina, how do you feel about the hip hop scene there? Man, its so much untapped talent in Charlotte so the scene is strong our problem is unity its so hard to get people to work together, if we could get that part down we could take over like Chicago did a few years ago its getting better though.

Several other areas have gotten together and put out a lot of talent, do you feel the same is coming for Charlotte? I am not sure, to be honest, I hope so, because when that one person blows up and it puts the light on the city its going to be good for everyone.

The momentum is high for you right now, but when do you plan on releasing your next project? My next project is Free Drug$ presented by Karmaloop and hosted by DJ Soundwave it took me a while to get it right, I’m about 95% done just waiting on a few features, looking at a February release.
