Two weeks ago, Beyonce made history when she dropped her self-titled album with no warning. Yes, a surprise album and now music fans can expect more surprise albums to come, thus killing the surprise. On the heels of Beyonce dropping her self-titled joint, The L.O.X. dropped their surprise EP, The Trinity.

When it comes to The L.O.X., there surprise release was highly-welcomed because it’s rare that Jadakiss, Styles P, and Sheek Louch put out new material. In recent years, Styles P has proven to be good for an album a year. But, Sheek Louch has been silent, as has Jadakiss since Consignment.

But, The L.O.X. are together and back in action and they stopped by Hot 97 to talk to Peter Rosenberg and Ebro. They spoke on their Trinity surprise EP and addressed if Beyonce inspired it or not and they discussed their plans for 2014. When the conversation got on New York hip hop, things appeared to be tense.
