People are paying close attention to the West Coast, once again, as there are several artists coming from here. Specifically, Los Angeles’ hip hop scene is one producing a lot of talent, but the veterans are still doing well too. DJ Quik came up alongside the likes of Dr. Dre and NWA and he continues dominating now.
When an artist begins logging over a decade in the game, fans begin questioning if they will end their career. In 2003, Jay-Z famously retired from the game after seven years of delivering hits. But, he continued doing joint albums and other work until officially returning in 2006.
DJ Quik is showing no signs of slowing down and he is getting back in the studio with some unexpected people. In recent years, the DeBarge family have made a bit of a comeback in the music industry. A surprise to some, DJ Quik took to his Twitter yesterday and revealed he is in the studio with both Chico and El DeBarge.
