A man who goes up against pop singers, presidents, and other high-ranking people is someone who is expected to say something outrageous. Kanye West is one of the most-controversial people ever. Perhaps that was his goal all along, but Kanye West managed to become the most-discussed rappers of the year.

This year, Kanye West has continued his back-and-forth with President Obama, even making comments about Michelle Obama. Because of Kanye West’s comments, people automatically expect the worst of him. When Nelson Mandela died, there was a story that surfaced of Kanye West saying he was just as influential as the political leader.

These rumors have proven to be false, as the article was complete satire. But, Kanye West still decided to come forward and set the record straight. Growing up, Kanye West was raised to look up to Nelson Mandela and it stuck with him, so he posted a message on Instagram to clear the air.
