This year, current hip hop continued to reign supreme, with Rick Ross, Future, Ace Hood, Big Sean, and all the others dominating the sound of this year. But, there was also new music from Kanye West, Jay-Z, Eminem, and more. Also, back in the headlines are former Murder Inc. duo, Ja Rule and Ashanti.
Currently, Ashanti is working on her Braveheart album and she recently released her holiday-inspired EP. A Wonderful Christmas with Ashanti is out now and this is her holdover release before the album comes. Even with all of this, there is the question of her personal life.
Ashanti stopped by Hot 97 recently and talked to Ebro for their morning show. She talked about being flown around the world, her photos posted on Instagram, her relationship with Nelly, and Irv Gotti’s disses toward her. It’s been a while since Ashanti has made these media rounds.
