This past week in hip hop was pretty crazy and Kanye West was right in the center of the drama. He did a series of interviews, but his visit to Sway’s Shade 45 show, “Sway In The Morning” is easily the most-memorable. While expressing his disappointment over the lack of corporate support towards his ideas, things got ugly.
Kanye West has issues with Nike and Mark Parker, yes Mark Parker, and he is going to make sure Mark Parker knows it. Further news has detailed Kanye West establishing a new deal with Adidas worth $10 million. But, Kanye West made it clear Sway didn’t have the answers when he questioned if he would consider going independent.
Awareness was raised, as Kanye West’s rant has become a joke, but the overall mission was accomplished. In mainstream news, Paula Deen suffered a fall from grace this past spring. Fans too notice and they mashed up Kanye’s rant on Sway with Paula Deen’s apology and the “New Slaves” record from Kanye.
