Holiday weeks are always a bit confusing and the calendar loses all credibility. A lot of people probably felt like yesterday was a Saturday instead of the most-important Thursday of the year. In light of being thankful, Busta Rhymes and Q-Tip made sure their “Thank You” record would be hot during the Thanksgiving period.
DJ Envy slammed the “Thank You” track for faux features from Lil Wayne and Kanye West, but it all fits. Despite no real contributions from Lil Wayne and Kanye West, the song is hot. Nobody can dispute that Busta Rhymes and Q-Tip did their thing when it came to the bars.
This week, there were not many notable music videos that dropped and then there was Busta Rhymes taking over like he did at the 2006 BET Awards. “Thank You” dropped and it did well. Plus, Kanye West was this week’s biggest topic of discussion, so all of this helped make “Thank You” Hip Hop Vibe’s Video of the Week.
