At the height of his career, Young Jeezy was dropping albums once a year for Def Jam and Jay-Z was running the show. Once Jay-Z departed the label, Jeezy saw gaps in his album releases. When Jay-Z first started Roc Nation, there were rumors of him taking all the artists he signed with him.
Since Jay-Z left the label, Def Jam has gone through a lot of behind the scenes changes that led to Jeezy’s last album being held up three years. Currently, Jeezy has dealt with his new album being delayed for two years. Through social media, Jeezy expressed his disdain for Def Jam.
Tired of expressing, Jeezy has become the second artist to depart Def Jam today, following Juelz Santana. However, instead of YMCMB, Jeezy decided to plant his new flag back with Jay-Z. Jeezy is the newest member of Roc Nation and he took a picture with his former/future boss to solidify the deal.
