Almost daily, Hip Hop Vibe highlights a lot hot celebrities and video vixens through our Too Hot for TV or Morning Heat columns. The girls stick out to us on Instagram and leverage a lot of attention due to their status and their sexy poses. But being a video vixen feeling on Wale is not required to get noticed on Instagram.
Ladies who are trying to step their Instagram game up can do it, turning those 10 or so likes can into thousands of double taps. Before long, the casting directors could be calling. Then some of those Instagram pics might be “Too Hot For TV.” But, the key to getting likes is to take a hot photo and that means more than curves and a phone (the curves are welcomed).
Daily, it’s the same old thing where it’s whatever video vixen, model, sexy female celebrity doing whatever on camera. But, it’s time to change things up and give a bit of advice to the ladies who want to get into the same, so a list was compiled about how to take a sexy selfie for Instagram. Lighting:
Girl, we can’t see your sexy ass if you’re going to take a photo in a room with one light and no flash. Turn on the flash or at least a few lights, or better yet, stand near a window and take advantage of the natural light. This will hug your curves in the greatest of ways and soften everything else.
Pose:
Your pose is the most important aspect of the photo. Work on different angles, play up your cleavage and turn to the side to get a little butt view. Lean back to appear thinner, stand with your legs crossed slightly to appear taller and lift your arms to make your boobs look higher and fuller. It’s a selfie, so take a lot and figure out what works best your body.
Outfit:
We know you’re not going to go naked (but don’t mind if you do), so be sure to play up a sexy outfit. Be daring with some lingerie or an Adam and Eve body suit. Make something ordinary sexy like a white t shirt or booty shorts. Use your outfit as a prop, too, by playing with the seams, pulling down the front, untying something or bitting a part of your shirt.
Details:
Hair done, nails done, everything done… Drake didn’t rap that for nothing. The details matter and no one wants to see your chipped manicure on their Instagram feed. Give your hair, nails and make up the attention they deserve. Get ’em girl.
Don’t forget the background:
Maybe your house isn’t the cleanest, but your Instagram followers don’t need to know that. Pay attention to what’s showing up in the background of your photos. Are there clothes and trash strewn about? If so, move a little bit to the right or clean it up.
Ditch the mirror:
Look, Fabolous coined, “Camera in the mirror BBM pose” three years ago. It’s time to move on and take photos of yourself without the aid of your mirror. We’ve all seen the cliche girl in the bathroom, phone in hand, kiss face a million times. Simply turn your phone around and face it towards you. It’s going to take some time to perfect the shot, but it won’t be grainy, lit poorly and contain a dirty bathroom sink.
Be smart:
While we love your hot body, especially when you show it to us, we want you to be smart. if you’re going to post straight up nudes, do yourself a favor and don’t post your face. Don’t make your instagram career something you could regret. Think before you post.
