Tone Trump talks hiatus, “West Side Story” EP, “The Hustler” album, and other work with HHS1987 [VIDEO]

Tone Trump 2Much like other cities, Philadelphia had fallen out of the public eye by the time 2010 hit. Also much like other cities, Philadelphia was showing signs of life with a lot of new energy. Most focused on Meek Mill, who had signed with Maybach Music, but there was also Tone Trump making moves.

Tone Trump had an incredible run throughout 2011 and into early 2012, which peaked with Young Jeezy signing him to CTE. Once that deal went down, Tone Trump has virtually disappeared. Usually, when somebody pulls of that disappearing act, they return stronger than ever.

Hip Hop Since 1987 caught up with Tone Trump to figure out exactly what’s going on with him, so he answered the question of where he’s been. On Instagram, he revealed the West Side Story EP release date. In the interview, he spoke on both this and his album, The Hustler.
