Eminem projected to move 1.1 million copies in his first week with “The Marshall Mathers LP 2”

Eminem 4As early as last year, there was speculation about a few veterans releasing new albums in 2013. Eminem was among the artists speculated to have something new in the works and it turns out the speculation was right. At the end of the summer, Eminem returned with his announcement of The Marshall Mathers LP 2.

Eminem has already begun the promotion of his new album and he is working with a reinvigorated Rick Rubin. Earlier this year, Rick Rubin also helped Kanye West with the creation of Yeezus. But, with the year coming to a conclusion, Eminem will release the biggest album of the year.

Through his partnership with Samsung, Jay-Z managed to go platinum with his comeback album, Magna Carta Holy Grail. According to the projections from Billboard, it looks like Eminem will go platinum his first week period. First week sales projections have him shipping 1.1 million copies.
