When The Notorious B.I.G. was alive, even the people who didn’t like him had to respect him because of his undying love and loyalty to Brooklyn. During the week of their annual award show, MTV dedicated their week to the Brooklyn borough. Had it not been for the efforts of The Notorious B.I.G., it probably would not have happened.
The Notorious B.I.G. opened doors and he proved that a person’s exterior has nothing to do with their potential. Back in August, a petition began to have the street B.I.G. lived on named after him. Since the petition began, there has not been much news about what has gone on since then.
Yesterday, Hip-Hop Wired reported The Notorious B.I.G.’s petition was denied because of his background. Lucy Koteen is against naming the street after B.I.G. because of his drug dealer past and his obesity. She said she was offended by what she discovered and does not view him as a role model.
