Pusha T expected to sell between 75,000 and 80,000 in first week for “My Name is My Name”

It’s hard for the biggest of artists to sell how they used to, so it’s even harder for newer hip hop artists to get sales. Even though Pusha T has been around for well over a decade, he is still releasing his debut album. My Name is My Name is the long-awaited debut album from Pusha T and it dropped yesterday.

With hip hop being a numbers game, a lot of people were eager to see what type of numbers Pusha T could put on the board. Minimal pun intended in the previous sentence, Pusha T has been involved in a subliminal beef with Drake and Lil Wayne for over a year now. Everyone knows how well their albums tend to sell.

But, Pusha T isn’t a rapper caught up in the commercial hype. His “Pain” single found its fan base and it was accepted and his album is doing the same, as the first week sales results are in. In its first week, My Name is My Name will sell between 75,000 and 80,000 copies.
