Biggie questioned who ever thought hip hop would take it this far, but he knew Diddy would no matter what his name was. At the height of the pop rap era, Diddy had no competition when it came to being hip hop’s leading earner. Until recent years, Diddy was dethroned by Jay-Z.
Diddy is clearly back in the lead with a refocus on Bad Boy Records. Additions to the roster include French Montana and Machine Gun Kelly, who have brought a lot of relevance back to the label. French Montana has a penchant for dropping addictive singles.
When Diddy made plans to launch Revolt TV, calculations placed him well above billionaire status if/when things go right. This is something to think about, considering how there is only one other minority billionaire. Diddy pondered the thought of this during his interview with Forbes.
