It’s a war zone in Chicago right now and it’s being displayed in the type of music that’s coming out. There was even one Chicago rapper who named his mixtape War Zone, it’s serious out there. Every day, turn on the news and there is another Chicago teen dead, the city is in turmoil.
Daily, the hip hop media covers Chief Keef, GBE, Lil Durk, and all the other major players in the Chi-town. People are quick to criticize, but they don’t understand how all of this is related. Last year, Chicago lost Lil Jojo and almost a year later, they have lost L’A Capone, who was just active on Twitter last night.
L’A Capone is the latest Chicago teen to fall victim to the violence, getting shot dead while exiting the studio last night. He was shot in the right thigh and the lower back while walking down an alley. Lil Durk confirmed the death of L’A Capone with a simple tweet that read “R.I.P. bro.”
